new digital camer and happy cows

yesterday ray and i started our weekend of fun off by buying a new digital camera. nothing fancy, BUT it is PINK and will fit in my pocket. so here are a few shots from yesterday. after we bought my camera, we went to Happy Cow dairy to stock up on some supplies, hit an antique store, stopped at the farm stand down the street, and then came home to rest.

first pic with new digital camera. ray is driving us to Happy Cow dairy.

HAPPY COWS. these are the "dry cows." meaning that they are pregnant and are not currently being milked. they get to hang out next to the driveway and greet the visitors. all the cows at the dairy are pastured raised and have free range of the pastures AT ALL TIMES. the only time they are indoor is for milking. then the milk only travels 40 feet before being bottled. not as healthy as raw milk, but a bit safer. the raw milk i bought once kinda freaked ray out a bit.

ready for their close up. ray really like the black and white cow middle left.

THE LOOT!!!! let's see...from Happy cow - gallon of whole milk, container of both cottage cheese and sour cream, SC shrimp, local pears, two kinds of sausage, ground beef, buffalo wing cheese, dill cheddar cheese curd, pasta sauce, coconut pie filling, puffed rice.
from the farm stand - blueberries, nectarines, tomatoes, and lemon. all produced was local with the exception of the lemon.
