i finally did it folks!!!! i have finally used up all the
veggies that we bought at the farmers market about a billion years ago. oh crap!!!!! i just looked at the picture again. i think i still have the sweet potatoes and a few little white potatoes in the crisper. other than that.. all the veggies are gone. i have to admit that we didn't eat all the crowder pea salad i made, and sadly some of it ended up in the garbage. (really someone needs to get a pig). i asked ray why he didn't eat any of it, since i really made it for him. he told me because i didn't bring it to him. what a CRACK HEAD!!! anyway, today i chopped up last orange pepper, 1/2 of a left over heirloom tomato, the big green and yellow squash, and an onion and cooked them with a bit of the happy cow pasta sauce and some local pork sausage. i paired this with the homemade pasta i made today and lunch was served. all done!!!! (i'm not counting the potatoes - they will keep for a bit longer than the other veggies.) i also used the last of the 5 lb bag of carrots (not pictured) to make more juice. the bacon, milk, and cottage cheese are all gone, but i still have some buffalo wing cheese and sour cream left. were still working on the jar of olives. but all in all i think it was a success!
today's lunch. left overs for lunch this week!!!!
now it is time to start working on the apples. 1/2 bushel of apples. i didn't get around to making an apple tart today. i think i will leave that for tuesday. and i should probably go get more carrots and oranges for juice. i also see sour cream pancakes with stewed apples in the future. or maybe an apple cake, or apple bread pudding. who knows.
the apples are waiting to be released.
look how pretty. whatever shall i take as a snack to work tomorrow????
hey lady, can you spare some apple for me??? come on...put some apple in the bowl!!
