my heart's still in bell buckle

even though there has been quite a bit of cooking and sewing going on around here, i'm still constantly thinking about our time spent over the holidays in the bell buckle, tn, area. in addition to the antique shops and cute as pie downtown area, not to far away is miller's grocery restaurant. this place is marvelous. even though my dinner itself was just ok, the atmosphere was fun, the band was fun, and the pie was FUN. an all around good time. so while we wait out the icky economy living here in greenville, saving our pennies like never before, planning and practicing in becoming a little farmer, i will day dream about all that is wonderful in bell buckle, tn.

this place was bumpin.

hey....there's a band!!!!
flea market hustlers.

you go girl.
now if we could just get the tennessee boltsmokers to come play near us.

digging the atmosphere. how cute!

like i said before, my dinner was not the highlight of the evening. the collard greens were from a can, the corn nuggets from a factory (although they were tasty), the roll was highly suspect, but the chicken fried steak was pretty good and the gravy had a nice flavor.

ok.... tongue is not on the menu.

really....again!

sister..... you to?

here's why you go to miller's grocery.
homemade coconut cream pie straight from the oven, oh so warm and creamy.
the only problem is i was so full from dinner that it was hard to fully enjoy my pie. so next time, we'll eat dinner a few hours before we go, sit and enjoy the band and the atmosphere, and feast on pie and coffee. the pie was really that good.
if for no other reason, go to miller's for the pie.
