first we are finally seeing some action in the garden outside. some of the peas are sprouting, a few lonely radish seedlings are popping up, and just a couple of spinach babies survived the cold weather. i also finally got some tomato and pepper seeds started inside, and caring for them is taking up as much of my time as the addiction. in kitchen news i am currently doing a bit of a organizational overhaul in the pantry and most definitely cleaning out some weird jars of what not from the back of the frig. in cooking news i'm trying to cut out the shit load of sugar that i consume either in the form of crappy carbs or yummy deserts. i mean really, how on earth do I go to the gym three days in a row and gain 3 pounds. something’s gotta give and sugar it looks like it’s gotta be you. damn you, you yummy bitch. so in lue of the big yummy pizza we have been getting for the best night of the week (thursday survivor night!!!!!) i am instead gonna make pork stuffed mushrooms on a puddle of tomato sauce. kinda like pizza, just minus the crust. oh how I love the crust. damn you fat thighs, you ruin my life. and now to the addiction….. apartment therapy. i apparently never tire of looking at other people’s living space and i could drool over the kitchen tours for days and days. also check at this little bit of garden inspiration…… and oh my, look at this. love it!! this would be great for the back porch where the pups hang. just raise it up a bit more so they couldn't eat on the veggies or herbs and voila, even more growing space for foods. well darlings, i must get going now. gotta check on the chicken stock cooking on the stove. see ya.
p.s. i also had a little bit of goodness for lunch today and if anyone has a recipe for it please let me know. chicken fried tofu. i know, i know. sounds weird. but it was like eating a little chicken nugget. it had a wonderful chicken flavor and a nice texture. i’m trying to figure out good little snacks for me to eat at work and these would be awesome, especially with some sort of yummy dipping sauce. must try to make them this weekend. i’m either going to marinate the tofu in some chicken stock for the chicken flavor, or add some chicken bouillon to the flour coating. we’ll see.
