it's a marshmallow world

i am posting this picture of the snow we got overnight because, quite frankly, my cooking this week has pretty much sucked. nothing much happened in the kitchen that is news worthy. i made a pot of red beans and rice that was okay, i tried to make homemade pretzels that were pretty good right out of the oven, but by the next day were hard as a rock, and i tried to make a salad dressing out of some canned fig preserves that was darn right disgusting. i do, however, have a "tod" the bread started update that i will included in the next post. so for now, here is probably the only interesting thing that i made so far this week. i give you left over buttercup squash puree i used in making ravioli spread on a piece of locally made toast topped with local oyster mushrooms sauteed in butter. not to bad.
